Seth Godin's The Big Moo
Seth Godin has gotten "33 of the world's smartest business thinkers" to contribute to his new book, The Big Moo.
I've read and enjoyed Godin's work (see All Marketers Are Liars and Unleashing the Ideavirus), and am curious to read The Big Moo. Godin is brilliantly selling orders of 50 galley copies of The Big Moo, and is asking buyers to give them to influential friends and associates.
And so it was that I came across a post on TechCrunch today where author Michael Arrington announced he has purchased a lot of 50 books and is giving away copies in exchange for some GoogleJuice.
So, Godin works his magic again: he gets people talking about his book and he gets people reading his book, all before it actually hits the shelves. Here's hoping I score a copy from Michael and can continue to contribute to the buzz.
By the way, if you're interested in Web 2.0 companies, TechCrunch is an excellent site to add to the aggregator. Lots of insights (and hype) about new Web 2.0 companies over there.
