The week that was
David Stern and Diana Taurasi walked by my cube this week, and Tim Legler kicked me and my buddy Jeremy out of a conference room where we were watching playoff hockey in order to watch the 14 games on the last night of the NBA regular season.
Some observations:
Stern was accompanied by a posse that you would expect to accompany him--sharp-looking dudes in nice suits that you wouldn't want to mess with.
Taurasi came in with the biggest posse of anybody who's ever come in when I've been there--at least 10 people. At first I didn't recognize her as she was, wearing her hair down. There were autograph sessions in the cafeteria--I haven't heard of this happening for anybody else who visited campus--which goes to show how nuts Connecticut is over basketball, and especially UConn women's basketball. Sujal has more on Taurasi's visit.
Legler seems like a nice guy, we talked a bit about the upcoming NBA playoffs before we hustled upstairs to catch the rest of the Senators annihilation of the Leafs.
