I had dinner tonight with Nadir Mohamed
and his wife, Shabin. They are a charming and thoroughly unassuming couple, and we talked a bit about the West Coast (it's gorgeous), when 3G networks will be implemented in Canada (not for a while--their recently-upgraded 2.5G network has to justify the implementation costs first), the Brain Drain, and whether it is possible or necessary to stop it (unsure, but there is a ton of US investment in Canadian companies anyways, so the Brain Drain might be moot), and the love/hate relationship of American foreign policy and American culture in foreign countries.
All in all, an entertaining and stimulating dinner.
