. Seriously. People here drive everywhere; they have to. You go to strip malls to get anything you need. There has definitely been some culture shock for this urban kid.
While I used to bitch about my 45-60 minute each-way commute on public transportation, I could read or sleep. Can't do that easily while driving. And my old commute included walking about 15-20 minute each way. Out here, I walk 10 feet to my car from my hotel room, and then 20-30 feet through the ESPN parking lot my building.
