Find Craiglist Housing Using Google Maps
From Slacker Manager comes a link to a mashup of Google Maps and Craigslist that uses a tweaked Google maps interface to display rental and for sale properties listed on Craigslist.
It has been fun to play with interesting remixed applications like Mappr, the Flickr Colrpickr, and Amazon Lite, but such apps are more fun than functional. This app is incredibly useful, and I bet we're going to see the balance tip towards utility over fun when it comes to apps that tie together web services.
That's how these things go, right? You experiment and play with new technologies, figure out what works, then get serious and build apps that people want to use and get paid to do it.
Like, back in 1995 I developed my 1337 HTML skillz so my baseball pool co-owners, who had dispersed to the far reaches of North America to go to university, could check our league standings. And, ten years later, here I am at the Worldwide Leader, getting paid to do nearly the same thing, except without the rainbow gradient backgrounds, spinning dollar signs, and <BLINK> tags.

1) The blink tag is never outdated and can always be used.
2) That takes local searching to a entirely new level. I just wish I knew how to have the Slacker Manager get results in my area!
