Weekend Highs and Woes
On Friday, I walked into my house to a dripping sound, which would ordinarily mean Geneve didn't close the kitchen sink's tap as tight as necessary. Except this time, the "kitchen tap" was my upstairs neighbor's dishwasher. And the sink was my one day old Pergo floor. To top it off, I have two stains on my ceiling that need to be painted over. Bad.
After dealing with the narsty mess, I opened a mysterious envelope from East Rutherford, NJ, to find my Sweet Sixteen tickets for the games at the Continental Airlines Arena. The Sweet 16 games are on Thursday and Saturday, and on the Friday in between, the Raptors are playing in NYC. My buddy Arf is heading down from TDot for The Ultimate Basketball Weekend. Good.
On Sunday, my dryer decided to stop working. Called up Sears, maker of "fine" Kenmore appliances, to find out that it stopped working right on schedule--exactly one month after the warranty expired. Of course, it's going to cost $65 for a repairman to come take a look at it, so I might have to use the interweb and put on my ol' dryer repairman's hat for a bit first. Bad (the broken dryer, not me-as-repairman. Although let's not rule out "bad" on that end, either).
