Mo' movies, no problems
The Matrix Revolutions: Entertaining, with much less philosophizing than part two, and much less plot than part one. I am not certain what critics expected, but this movie was one of the better action movies I have seen in a while. RT gave it 37%.
Elf: Cute but forgettable, it is worth seeing at matinee prices on a rainy Sunday. RT gave it 83%.
Master and Commander: Surprisingly good. The story was compelling and the acting was above average. I might be inclined to think that my enthusiasm for pirates extends to period boat movies, if the three fellas I went with didn't also like it so much. See it on the big screen. RT gave it 84%.
Bad Santa: Absolutely terrible. I enjoy dark comedies, but this movie was more of a dark snoozefest than a dark comedy. Billy Bob was not given much to work with, the plot was weak and the dialogue bland. Aside from the fat kid and the elf, this movie is entirely forgettable. Don't waste your time, even when it is out on video. RT gave it 77%.

Matrix Revolutions. One of the WORST movies I have seen all year. Absolutely terrible. You know a movie is bad when at *least* half a dozen times through the course of it you predict WORD FOR WORD the ensuing dialogue.
Terrible.
