So maybe this P2P thing is ok, after all

An interesting article on Big Champagne, which monitors Peer to Peer networks to glean data about music searches and attempt to correlate music searches with geography. BC then sells the data to the record labels, to the tune of ~$40k per month, and I betcha it's worth every penny to them.
