Also, I just found out
that while Air Canada flies directly to both Toronto and Montreal from Hartford (w00t!), it flies the 1900D to Montreal and the Dash-8 to Toronto (not w00t).
There were three passengers on the flight back from Montreal tonight. I had a seat in the second row, and from it I could see out both sides of the plane and the front. It was slightly disconcerting and mildly nauseating to be sitting there while the plane literally moved laterally as it was buffeted by high winds. But I figured as long as the pilots didn't start screaming in terror and peeing their pants while reaching for the parachutes, I'd stay Roswell Rayguns-cool.
I kicked myself for not bringing my camera onboard, as there was a great shot out the side of the plane of a brilliant crescent moon shining down on the wing and the lights of Montreal below.
With this flight, I qualified for a 15,000 airmiles bonus. Sweetness--that means I now have enough for a first-class ticket to Europe. Gotta keep building though--my goal is to do a round-the-world tour on airmiles.
